 Play'd: A Hip Hop StoryWoman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day
        Cory Tynan has written films for most of the studios and several television networks. His first script, Nightland, was acquired by Paramount in a bidding war with Disney. Cory then followed that up with the spec sale, Ghost hunter (Cinema Line Films), and Beast of Burden (Warner Bros).
 
His award winning movie, Play’d: A Hip Hop Story won the prestigious New York Indie Film Festival and was nominated for a NAMIC Vision Award. Also a television staff writer, Cory headed the "writers’ room" for the long-running Gene Roddenberry TV series Earth: Final Conflict and worked on David E. Kelley's The Practice. In 2010, Cory wrote and produced the acclaimed pilot “Everyday Life,” which was nominated for a Movie guide Epiphany Award.
 
Cory’s recent 2012 film, Woman Thou Art Loosed: On The 7th Day (starring Blair Underwood), had the highest “per screen average” upon its AMC release and was nominated for an NACCP Image Award.
 
Recently, Cory rewrote Impact Earth (Starz), which just wrapped shooting with Tom Berenger, did the production polish for A Dog And Pony Show (Miramar Pictures) set to lens January 2015, and is writing Capture The Dragon for Mili Pictures, shooting in Shanghai, spring 2015. In addition, Cory just optioned his epic script, St. Patrick to Blacklion Films, which is scheduled to shoot in Ireland next fall.
